All For Animals, a non profit organization is an umbrella fundraising project currently working with eighteen regional animal welfare groups.
Funds generated make a significant impact on the day to day running of these organisations. The inaugural fundraising activity in 2010 was the creation of a 2011 dog calendar, each month had a photo & story of a dog rescued and re homed by the participating welfare groups. Together, the initial twelve groups represented in the calendar provide a safe haven for an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 dogs & pups per year. By purchasing this calendar, your support assisted your local animal welfare group with its work in rescuing & re homing the many dogs & pups under its care.
The total number of dogs destroyed in Ireland’s dog pounds during the past 3 years reached a staggering 29,224, as per figures released through the Department of the Environment. The majority of these dogs & pups were healthy, young, abandoned and unwanted pets. While the animal welfare groups struggle daily to accommodate as many stray, abandoned and unwanted pets as possible, these same welfare groups are in constant need of funding to help prevent many more dogs from being destroyed in the nation’s dog pounds
Due to the success of the inaugural dog calendar All For Animals has added other fundraising activities to is programme (including the repeat of the 2011Dog Calendar) which include a 2012 Cat Calendar and Take the Lead, a National Dog Walk Day to be held in multiple locations around Ireland on August 27, 2011.
